Comb honey (pickup only)
*Available only for pickup at the University of Guelph's Honey Bee Research Centre*
Comb honey is rich in carbohydrates and antioxidants, and is full of nutrients. Many enjoy to eat comb honey as-is, but it also makes for an excellent spread on warm bread or English muffins. Honey comb may also be used as a sweetener in homemade desserts — or on top of pancakes, oatmeal, or yogurt.
Some people likewise enjoy a piece of honey comb atop salad or alongside fruit or aged cheeses. A beautiful slice of comb honey on the side of a charcuterie board adds that extra bit of elegance and makes it look so much more appetizing!
Store at room temperature so the comb can be easily cut and the honey remains liquid.
